Position Summary:
Schlabach Printers is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to lead our creative projects at our Middlefield branch. This role involves meeting with clients and conceptualizing, creating, and managing designs for print and digital media while mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong design portfolio, a strategic mindset, and a passion for delivering impactful visual communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design process from concept to final production for various print and digital projects, including brochures, catalogs, signage, packaging, branding, and more.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines for clients, ensuring consistency across all design materials.
Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers, fostering growth and innovation within the team.
Stay updated on design trends, tools, and industry standards to bring fresh perspectives to projects.
Communicate and work closely with Customer Service Representatives and the Production Team to ensure designs meet technical requirements for printing.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Assigning projects to junior designers and lending assistance and direction when necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field and 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a print or marketing environment; or 10+ years of professional graphic design experience in a print or marketing environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design tools.
Strong understanding of print production processes, color theory, typography, and layout design.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients and team members.
A strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work, including branding, print materials, and digital assets.
Experience with web design, UX/UI, or motion graphics is a plus but not required.
Experience managing social media is a plus but not required
